Create Test Cases

Introduction

Test Cases are set of conditions that would help testers to determine whether a product works correctly or satisfies the requirements. QMetry allows users to seamlessly create such Test Cases which the testers can make use to even determine the problems with the system or product requirements.

→ Required Permission: Users should have the “Test Case Create” permission for the project to be able to create a test case in QMetry Jira add-on.

Test Case List View

Users can show/hide all field columns except Sequence No, Key, and Summary in the test case module grid. You can opt to keep the columns Priority, Status, Version, Assignee hidden on the Test Case list view.

You can also view the count of associated stories, attachments, and comments to the latest version of the test case. The columns Comment Count, Attachment Count and Story Count are available on the Hide/Show/Re-arrange Columns option. You can also sort and filter test cases on the columns showing count. For example, you can search test cases which have 3 to 4 attachments added to them.

Notes:

  • A maximum of 10 filters, including system as well as custom fields, can be selected at a time.

  • The Attachment Count is displayed only for the test case, not the steps.

Columns selected on the list will appear on the test case screen. Columns not selected/deselected will remain hidden on the screen.

To return to the default view of the Test Case list view, open the Columns drop-down and select Reset to Default.
